BOARD OF DIRECTORS
President:
Daniel Calandrelli
Daniel Calandrelli is CEO of A & H Manufacturing, a worldwide leader in costume jewelry and product packaging. He brings a lifetime of experience in business to his responsibilities overseeing and coordinating all of RIWE’s activities, including publicity and marketing. Dan has been RIWE’s President since 2018.
Vice President: Moriah Ramos
Moriah Ramos is a music educator and professional flutist who oversees our development efforts and public relations. She has served as social media director since 2019, and we’re excited to welcome her to new responsibilities in the current season!
Secretary: Meghan Walch
Meghan Walch is the Director of Insurance Product for InsureMyTrip.com whose duties include correspondence, recording of meeting minutes, and maintenance/transportation of the band’s extensive inventory of percussion instruments. Meghan began serving on the RIWE Board of Directors in 2014.
Treasurer: Richard Ashmore
Richard Ashmore is a retired US Navy Officer. His duties include keeping track of all income and expenses, reporting to the board and membership, and overseeing mechanical, synchronization, and public performance licenses. Richard has served as Treasurer since 2016.
Concert Coordinator: Marvin Wasser
Marvin Wasser is a retired pediatrician whose duties include negotiating with performance venue representatives to build each season’s performance calendar. Marvin began serving as Concert Coordinator in 2022.
Personnel Manager: Susan Shippee
Susan Shippee is a retired high school science teacher and coach who is responsible for communicating with new and returning members each year, setting up auditions for new members, advertising for openings in the ensemble, and securing the services of substitute players when necessary. She has served as Personnel Manager since 2021.
Librarian: Fran Webber
Fran Webber is a PhD student studying oceanography at the University of Rhode Island. She assists with sorting, copying, distributing and refiling music for the ensemble. She is new to the Board in 2023.
Librarian: Ricardo Medeiros
Ricardo (Ric) Medeiros is the Director of Engineering at inTest Thermal Solutions responsible for the development and design of low temperature chillers and semiconductor test equipment. Ric works alongside Fran ensuring that the music for the ensemble is organized. Ric is a returning member after being away 20 years and is new to the Board in 2023.
Social Media Coordinator: Hannah Tiner
Hannah Tiner is a Research Technician for Charles River Laboratories, a leader in the development and delivery of advanced drug therapies. Her duties include promoting concerts and events and creating interest in RIWE through social media. 2023 is her first year serving on the Board.
Grant Coordinator: Kyle Sullivan
Kyle Sullivan is a Jr. Actuary with an insurance company who is working toward obtaining his fellowship in the CAS. His duties include applying to and corresponding with various grant foundations and individuals who may be willing to donate to our organization to help cover the ensemble’s various expenses. Kyle is also new to the board in 2023.
Website Administrator: Christine Richards
Christine Richards is a Sr. Resolutions Manager for a financial firm who is responsible for maintaining and updating our website. Christine is new to the Board in 2023.
